Pre Ballet/Creative Movement
Classes are designed to introduce 3-year-olds to the world of dance and movement. Children will be introduced to elementary ballet. They will be encouraged to express themselves creatively through movement. Classes will promote socialization and listening skills and will help children develop an awareness of how their bodies can move. Props are used in the classes to stimulate imagination.
Combination classes – All of our classes for ages 4+ are combination classes that combine ballet and tap or ballet, tap and jazz into one class.

Ballet/Lyrical – Ages 3+. A classical dance from which is the foundation for all dance. Classes will emphasize technique and proper body alignment, as well as flexibility, strength, grace, coordination, musicality and performance quality. Ballet includes barre work, stretches, steps, leaps, turns, and combinations (allegro and adagio). French dance terminology is taught. All students are required to take ballet. This is to insure they learn the technique necessary to be successful dancers. Lyrical dance will be incorporated into older classes. Students will learn to express the mood or theme of contemporary music through physical movement, emphasizing developing strength, control and flexibility. Tap – Ages 4+. Classes will emphasize rhythm, style and sound. Students will study basic tap steps, combinations, and rhythms with an emphasis on developing proper tap technique and producing clear tap sounds.

Jazz/Modern – Ages 6+. Classes will emphasize rhythm, coordination, strength, flexibility and isolation of movement. Jazz consists of center-floor stretches, across-the- floor progressions, and modern as well as contemporary movements. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well-rounded dancer. A combination of jazz and modern styles and techniques are used in class and performances. The focus will be on learning proper dance technique, as will as improving performance quality.

Hip Hop – Ages 4+. This class can be taken by itself or with a combination class. Hip Hop is a contemporary style of jazz that combines street jazz, break dance and a touch of jazz funk. Movements are low to the ground using sharp and strong movements. This class can be taken by itself or with a combination class.
Preschool - Ballet/Tap
This is a tap and ballet combination class for 4 year olds. This is a first or second year dance class that dancers will enjoy learning basic ballet and tap terminology along with fun and engaging games.
Level 1 - Ballet/Tap
This is a ballet and tap combination class for PK and kindergarten. Working hard to create the core dancer with an understanding for ballet and tap technique.
Level 2 - Ballet/Tap/PreJazz
This is a ballet and tap combination class with intro to jazz class mainly for 1st graders and also 2nd graders who are new to dance. We begin learning the technique of jazz. This class picks up the speed.
Level 3 - Ballet/Tap/Jazz
This level is mainly for 2n graders and also 3rd graders who are new to dance. We work on technique in all forms of ballet, tap, & jazz to create the core dancer. We begin to incorporate lyrical in our ballet and jazz classes.
Level 4 and Above - Ballet/Tap/Jazz
This level is mainly for 6th and Above grade dancers. Placement depends on the dancer’s experience readiness and knowledge of dance.
Senior – Ballet/Tap/Jazz
This level is for advanced dancers that have at least 6 years dance experience and who are ready to dance at an advanced level. You must already know your fundamentals of dance. This level mostly consists of 10th -12th grade students.
Pointe Levels
All pointe classes are placed by experience and ability.

PrePointe - This class is designed for the ballerina who is pursuing Pointe class. Must be in at least 4th grade and had 2+ years of ballet experience. Ballerinas will learn how to strengthen their ankles as well as define proper body alignment and foot turnout, all of which are necessary prior to going on Pointe.

Beginning-Advanced - These ballerinas are age 10 and older in order to allow for proper foot and bone development. These students must have completed at least one year of Pre- Pointe and are advanced upon our recommendation to Pointe class. This exciting form of dance challenges each dancer to use extreme control while maintaining their body position on Pointe. Simple through advanced Pointe techniques will be taught.
